GOVERNANCE & EXECUTIVE MENTORSHIP
My approach combines governance excellence and strategic foresight with practical implementation through mentorship, ensuring organisations can adapt and thrive in changing business landscapes. This encompasses developing robust accountability measures and converting complex strategic initiatives into attainable business outcomes.

As an executive and non-executive director with 30 years of experience in transformation, I focus on guiding organisations through complex change while establishing clear frameworks for future growth. This involves developing robust oversight systems that enhance accountability and strategic decision-making.
I am industry-agnostic and consistently demonstrate my ability to align diverse business functions with strategic objectives across domestic and international markets. I do this while creating clear governance frameworks that drive organisational performance and sustainable results.

ABOUT IAIN MENMUIR
A lifetime of solving gnarly problems and finding the blind spots
Iain started his working life as a steeplejack and mountain guide, then into banking in his early 20s. By the late 90s, he was in start-up tech companies, a property restoration business and starting his consulting career.
After a bumpy ride through the dot-com boom, around 2003, he moved into strategy and organisational consulting, setting up the Apac region for one firm, which they sold in 2008. Since then, he’s led teams at a U.S. Business School, ran mountain safety operations in Yemen, set up and sold a disruptive forestry company, and then on to multi-billion dollar drilling projects in oil, where he was a member of the leadership team responsible for people and operational excellence.
Since 2018, he has been instrumental in supporting old and new companies to become highly adaptable to the forever-changing environment and taking a couple from local to global.
He is on several Boards for commercial and not-for-profit organisations. He is a member of "Team Goat" at the Collective Intelligence and was the Business Case Programme Lead at Otago University Business School solving real business problems every day.

When not working in business, you'll find him running ridiculously long distances in the mountains, skiing in the backcountry with Nats his partner or making furniture (currently working on two commissions) and going from an armchair farmer into the paddock.
